Tahmid Ahnaf

Currently, I am a Master’s student at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. I love working on machine learning, artificial intelligence and data science projects. Currently, my area of focus is on applying machine learning and deep learning to real-life problems, such as electricity demand forecasting in order to sustainably plan energy management. Moreover, I have worked on natural language processing to classify Bengali texts. Throughout my research work, presentations in conferences, and participation in hackathons, I have cultivated a great interest in practical problem solving, continuous learning and collaborations. I think that machine learning should be open for everyone irrespective of their background and curiosity is the first step towards innovation. Therefore, as an IMLC Ambassador, my hope is to encourage students in Bangladesh to take machine learning up as a career option, compete internationally, and gain confidence through learning by doing. I am excited to meet other ambassadors, exchange ideas with them and build a community where we learn from each other.
